Fire prevention systems

These are primarily fire detection systems. The function of these is to detect the first signs of fire and to alert the plant or building services so that adequate measures can be taken to control or stop the fire. There are several types of detectors (smoke, thermal, ..) depending on the nature of the risk. This is why the SAHEL SECURITY teams are deployed on-site to carry out tailor-made engineering studies according to the constraints and spécificies of each operator.

Fire-fighting systems

Fire fighting measures are diverse and varied depending on the nature of the risk but also on the equipment used by the operator. These means can range from simple extinguishers to automatic sprinkler systems. At SAHEL SECURITY, we help our clients determine the best systems for their operations, in line with their allocated budget. SAHEL SECURITY is aware of the risk of fire in building and industry facilities, and places great emphasis on the design of fire safety systems, with a team of technicians and engineers specialising in fire safety.

High sensitivity facility fire protection systems

In data storage facilities such as data centers, archive rooms, or any other storage room with highly sensitive equipment, we use automatic fire extinguishing systems. These systems act at the core of the risk to protect people and property while preserving the environment. Often, gas or water-based mist are used. Sahel Security installs and maintains all types of fire suppression systems, mainly inert gas-based systems, based on IG55, which is highly suitable for fire protection and presents no risk to people or the environment.

Training

Staff training in the use of fire prevention and fire-fighting equipment, evacuation, and first aid is an essential element in the chain of risk management in companies. Every company is required to train its employees at least once a year. We provide our clients with an experienced trainer certified by the French National Institute for Research and Safety (INRS) so that they can benefit from the latest training tools on the market.

Engineering studies

In Facilities requiring environmental impact assessment, specific engineering studies such as hazard assessment studies or Internal Operation Plans are required and to be renewed every three years.

A hazard assessment study includes a description of the facilities and the environment, as well as an analysis of the risks associated with the facilities, the products handled, and the site environment. The major accident scenarios identified in this risk analysis will be simulated to quantify their probabilities and consequences on the structure's equipment and environment.

The Internal Operation Plan is an extension of the hazard analysis initially carried out. In the event of an accident, an Internal Operation Plan details operational measures, intervention methods and procedures to be implemented. These aim at protecting the staff, and the environment. It must also ensure that the emergency services are alerted and that the responsible authorities are informed.

SAHEL SECURITY has a highly experienced engineering department carrying out these specific projects, in close partnership with relevant State entities (DPC, DEEC)
